Datanla Waterfall and Alpine Coasters: Route 1, Route 3, One-Way or Return?

GollabaSource checked: Editorial review:
The short answer

Check whether your coaster serves Falls 1 or Falls 3 and whether it is one-way or return. The operator lists Falls 1 admission separately from its coaster. A one-way ride requires a walking return; canyoning and ziplining are separately booked adventure activities.

Some source checks are due for review. Confirm current details with the official provider before travelling.

Different routes share the Datanla name

Photographs combine waterfalls, forest and rides into one apparent visit, but the actual route matters when buying. The operator's booking information describes Falls 1 and Falls 3 coasters separately. A seller's new-coaster label does not establish the same entrance, waterfall or return route as another option.

Decide whether you mainly want time beside a waterfall or a coaster through the forest. Combining walking and riding can work, but you do not need every activity. Choosing one clearly identified route that fits your time and companions is more useful than accumulating vaguely named tickets.

A one-way ride changes how you get back

The operator's Falls 1 one-way coaster takes you down, followed by a walk back to the entrance. Unlike the return ride, it requires managing the stairs and uphill route yourself. A cheaper fare is not necessarily a better choice if a companion has knee difficulties or paths are wet.

A walking visit also needs more thought than whether you can descend. Check the climb back and the areas actually open. Do not transfer Falls 1 return instructions to Falls 3, or assume ordinary visitors can enter the deeper waterfall sections used for guided canyoning.

Compare admission plus the ride, not just a starting fare

The verified operator information lists Falls 1 admission at VND 80,000, its one-way coaster at VND 110,000 and return at VND 130,000, explicitly requiring additional admission. The Falls 3 return coaster is a separate VND 250,000 option. These are displayed benchmarks at verification; recheck the date, child categories and seller's inclusions.

Open the actual Gollaba-linked coaster or multi-attraction Da Lat option to compare admission, route, return, transport and independent viewing time. Falls 1 one-way and Falls 3 return are not the same ride product. A tour listing the waterfall does not by itself prove coaster fares are included.

Two seats do not remove each rider's restrictions

The operator gives a maximum of two riders and a combined 120 kg limit, alongside height, age and child-accompaniment requirements. One adult and one child are therefore not automatically eligible together. For a shared car, ask staff about the combined limits and who must occupy and operate each position.

Park admission and coaster eligibility are different. Follow the operator's guidance and appropriate professional advice for personal health restrictions, pregnancy or uncomfortable riding positions. A blog's everyone-is-safe claim is not a reason to ignore rules. Arrange a meeting place for companions who will not ride.

Receiving tickets until 16:30 does not guarantee a full visit

The verified booking information gives 07:15–16:30 as receiving hours for several coaster options. It does not promise that a late arrival can finish queues, sightseeing and the return. Ask about the route's final admission and ride, current wait and weather restrictions, and choose an earlier visit before another fixed appointment.

Rain, thunder, path conditions or water levels can change operation. Do not bypass closed sections; follow staff instructions. If your purpose is forest and waterfall scenery, foregoing a ride may be an alternative, but that does not automatically establish a refund or replacement under your purchased ticket.

A coaster ticket is not an adventure pass

Canyoning has equipment, guiding, departure times and participant conditions of its own. Ziplining and high-rope activities also have separate rules and schedules. Do not plan to buy general admission or a coaster ticket and freely use every adventure on arrival. If one is your main purpose, reserve that program as the day's focus.

A multi-attraction Da Lat tour can simplify travel, but ask whether its free time accommodates riding queues and waterfall viewing. Handle large bags, follow phone and photography rules, and obey staff's spacing and braking instructions. Save the vehicle meeting point and time for the next transfer after returning uphill.

Before buying a Datanla ticket

Price comparison becomes meaningful only when route, return method and eligibility match. Identify the difference between entry and riding first.

  • Identify Falls 1 or Falls 3 and the exact coaster
  • Choose a walking return or round-trip ride
  • Compare total admission, ride and transport inclusions
  • Check height, age, combined weight and accompaniment
  • Verify final admission/ride and current weather notices
  • Separate adventures, photography rules and the return vehicle
