Use both the San Kamphaeng name and Mae On address
Administrative boundaries changed, leaving the springs in Mae On while retaining the San Kamphaeng name. Give a driver the full English facility name and accurate address. Getting out in San Kamphaeng town based only on the name may not mean you have reached the springs.
Separate hotel-to-springs return travel from time spent on site. Choose the activity you want before adding numerous places to a short foot-bath visit. Nearby accommodation or a private bathing product with a similar name does not necessarily include every facility in the park.
The source and water used by visitors are different
Government and tourism introductions distinguish the very hot source from prepared bathing areas. Egg-boiling water, foot-bath water, swimming and private-bath facilities are not one pool at the same temperature. Do not put hands or feet into the source or cross its safety boundaries.
Supervise children near the source and be mindful of spray, wind and wet paths. For egg boiling, use the designated place and tools according to local guidance. Follow staff instructions rather than treating an unverified temperature or boiling duration as a universally correct procedure.
Park entry and facility use are separate costs
Tourism guidance describes foot baths, pools and private bathing. Park admission does not mean free access to all of them. Identify the facility you want and ask about current opening, duration, use charge and rental costs.
The operator's service page was not reliably accessible at verification, so older tourism prices have not been copied as confirmed current fares. Ask for the dated total of admission and your chosen facility. A shared family or couple's private bath also needs capacity, reservation, cleaning intervals and children's conditions checked.
| Activity | Check separately from admission |
|---|---|
| Source viewing | Safety boundaries and daily controls |
| Egg boiling | Designated area, tools and purchase cost |
| Foot bathing | Usable area and local instructions |
| Hot-spring pool | Opening, clothing, charge and child conditions |
| Private bath | Capacity, duration, reservation and extra charge |
| Return travel | Accurate address, return and waiting costs |
Pack for the activity you actually choose
Someone taking only a foot bath and someone using a pool need different preparation. Check the chosen facility's dress rules and bring swimwear, a towel and dry clothes as appropriate. Advertised rentals do not guarantee immediate availability in the size and quantity you need; check charges separately from admission too.
Being able to dry your feet helps avoid getting into the car or starting another visit while wet. Ask about valuables and large-bag storage, and do not leave a phone unprotected beside water. Without equipment for a particular activity, choosing only what you can comfortably do is a valid alternative.
Tourism wellness language is not proof of treatment
A hot-spring visit can be a rest during travel, but this guide does not guarantee treatment of any disease. Wellness wording in tourism material is different from personal medical safety. If a health condition makes heat exposure a concern, follow your clinician's guidance first and ask staff about facility conditions.
Read water and facility warnings before entering, and do not force yourself to continue if uncomfortable. More time is not automatically better use. Consider companions' rest, hydration and supervision of children; do not construct a strenuous plan such as using hot facilities after drinking alcohol.
An old shuttle fare does not guarantee today's return
A previously described shuttle stop and fare do not prove a vehicle will run on that schedule today. Confirm current connections. With a round-trip driver, agree on waiting that includes bathing, changing and any meal. With a one-way app ride, prepare a realistic local return alternative.
Tourism guidance gives general 07:00–18:00 operation, but do not assume every pool or private bath has the same last use. Work backward from the exit meeting to changing and returning rental items. No precisely matching public product is currently linked; a hot-spring tour elsewhere is not presented as admission to this facility.
Before the hot-spring visit
Knowing where and how you will use the facilities comes before how hot the source is. Match costs, clothing and return travel to the selected activity.
- Confirm the accurate Mae On address
- Separate the very hot source from bathing areas
- Ask for admission, facility and rental charges separately
- Check current pool/private-bath opening and final use
- Prepare suitable swimwear, towels and dry clothing
- Confirm current travel and a return alternative
