Start with the experience you most want
For a photograph looking down over the lake, check for a Mae Ko visit. For the layered-island panorama, establish how much time is available for Wua Talap. Treating these viewpoints as one place can lead to buying a product missing the landing you wanted. If kayaking is the priority, ask about actual paddling time and guidance rather than merely whether equipment appears in the inclusions. A non-swimmer also needs a realistic boat or beach alternative. These questions turn personal priorities into purchase conditions; they are not a popularity ranking.

An activity list is not a sequential timetable
The inspected Blue Stars itinerary offers a choice at Wua Talap between kayaking, a viewpoint, a cave or beach relaxation. That is not a promise to visit all of them in succession. A viewpoint ascent can involve heat and steps, so do not assume everyone landing with the group must reach the top. Large boats and speedboats can differ in journey time and onboard experience, but size alone does not guarantee freedom from seasickness or safe operation. Write hotel pickup-to-return time separately from time ashore to uncover a short description that conceals a long travel day.
Do not add the park fee twice
Some products include admission, as the inspected operator’s inclusion list does. Another seller’s lower base rate may exclude it, so read the selected option rather than assuming a universal extra. Align hotel transfers, meals, kayaking, life jackets and mandatory charges before comparing totals. For a child, check actual participation eligibility, seating and suitable equipment, not just a “free” label. Contradictory age information needs clarification before payment rather than a guess. Identify shared seats versus a private vessel as well, keeping per-person prices separate from the cost of an entire charter.
Check the access calendar and sailing decision
National-park access can change through seasonal closure, partial restrictions or conditions on the day. An old November–December notice or an open booking calendar does not establish permission for your visit. We do not present exact closure dates for the relevant year as independently confirmed here. Recheck the park notice and ask the operator about your particular date before paying. Establish what replaces cancelled kayaking or a viewpoint, what refund terms apply, and whether a date change is possible if the park is inaccessible. Keep a Samui land day available so there is no pressure to favour sailing over a sensible cancellation.
